Covid-19 Resources For The Arthritis Community

March 22, 2020

Dear Readers

These are difficult times, especially those living with autoimmune conditions.  I hope you are all staying safe and informed about the precautions we must take to keep ourselves safe. I am currently self isolating at home with my son. We are not having any visitors, no play dates, no play grounds. It's extremely lonely and scary but we are in this together. Please stay safe.

I am teaming up with a couple organizations to help them navigate the needs of the patients who are at risk. Never has advocacy been so important. Please watch my social media channels on Facebook and Twitter for on going information.

Here is a list of reliable resources for patients during this time.

Stay safe

Eileen

Covid-19 Global Rheumatology Alliance

The Global Rheumatology Alliance's mission is to create a secure, de-identified, international case reporting registry and curate and disseminate the outputs from that registry. It is their hope that the information collected will help guide rheumatology clinicians in assessing and treating patients with rheumatologic disease and in evaluating the risk of infection in patients on immunosuppression.

The steering committee is composed of academic and community rheumatologists and a patient representative. The steering committee was formed with the goal of rapidly curating and disseminating accurate, timely, evidence-based information to the community of rheumatology providers and patients.
